Honoring Danielle Kilian, 1977-2025
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Danielle Kilian.
She was a caring mother to her son Greogory, and a loving wife to her husband David of 23 years.
Something special about Danielle, was that you could rarely find her alone, she was always surrounded by those who loved and appreciated her. She loved spending time with her friends and family at all hours of the day. Travel was a large part of her family’s lives, from visiting Disneyland several times, crossing the country to New York, and crossing the ocean to Europe.
Danielle took great pride in her career, running multiple events at a time. She was an incredible Senior Director of Events & Development at the BIA of Clark County for 13 years. Her energy brought to life the Tour of Homes, Chef Hop & Vine, Golf Tournament, Parade of Homes, Turkey Shoot, and many dinners and awards ceremonies. Not only that but she extended her support to the other branches of the BIA, including the Building Futures Foundation, BIG PAC, and Professional Women in Building.
She was advancing in her profession by actively attending the Leadership Clark County sessions and working closely with other members of our community. Her commitment didn’t end there, you could find her at the church balancing books, delivering bags for Walk & Knock (now Drive & Drop), selling snacks and leading events for Cub Scouts all the way through Boy Scouts of America, ringing bells for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle, and assembling bikes for the Scott Campbell Christmas Promise. She remained dedicated to her alma mater of Eastern Washington University and contributed many miles for countless marathon fundraisers and so much more.
With great generosity, she would go the extra mile to surprise people by sending gifts and warm messages. She had an amazing talent for detail and connecting people, everyone felt significant when she was a part of their lives. Danielle was always quick to show her appreciation and thankfulness for those around her.
Our team, members and friends will all miss her deeply and every day her legacy is remembered through all of the milestones she paved for us.
