This update modernized a 1940’s cottage house in a beautiful downtown neighborhood.  This whole house remodel was a multistage renovation over a few years. The first phase was the addition of a large great room. The kitchen features a huge granite top island for family and friends to gather around.  Custom cabinets provide ample storage. A large outdoor covered area is steps away.

Next up on the list of improvements was a master suite.  We removed the original 1942 bathroom and combined two bedrooms to create their perfect master suite. The master bath has a luxury tile shower with multiple spray heads.  The deep soaking tub, custom vanities and warmed tile floor make this bathroom a peaceful retreat. In addition, we carved out a new powder room off the hallway.

The exterior of the house was the final phase. Energy efficiency and upgrades to the finishes were key goals. The split system heat pumps provide superior HVAC comfort with low energy use and insulation was upgraded to modern standards.  All the exterior windows were replaced and new lap siding seals up the exterior.

The addition of a front-covered porch gives this home a fantastic new look.  The porch protects the owners and guests from the weather.  This is a great place to sit, relax and enjoy the neighborhood.
