Building Futures Foundation (BFF) Manager

Job Description:

The Building Futures Foundation (BFF) is a trade association representing over 12,000 employees in the construction industry. The BFF  is a 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation that supports careers in the building industry through scholarships, grants, school partnerships, and supporting local CTE Construction programs.

 

Reports to: BIA Executive Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serves as industry liaison for workforce development initiatives and provides primary staff support to the BFF:

a. Serves as administrator for the Scholarship Committee, which entails record keeping and following-up on committee requests.

b. Maintains the Scholarship Fund and coordinates the annual fundraising campaign or event (setting the budget, coordinating fundraising activities, etc.)

• Provides primary assistance to the BFF Board:

a. Attends Board meetings and takes notes.

b. Responds to Board requests for information.

c. Follows through with Executive Officer’s direction.

• Oversees all internal and external communication for BFF, ensuring brand and message consistency. Coordinates with the Communications Manager.

• Fundraises for the BFF. This includes planning for Casino Night and the BFF Gala.

• Develops and maintains a comprehensive marketing and communications plan for the BFF.

• Serves as liaison between BFF, the media, and industry/community partners.

• Manage written responses to situations or issues which affect industry perception and reputation.

• Website management for BuildingFuturesFoundationClarkCounty.org

• Oversees email marketing contact list and ensures edits to member records are completed in a timely manner.

• Creates content and schedules posting of all social media content (including paid ad campaigns) for BFF and committees/councils.

• Grant writing for funding opportunities.

• Manages in-house creation of BFF marketing materials (including but not limited to event graphics, signage, and promotional videos).

• Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• PREFERED: Bilingual in Spanish & English.

• Non-profit experience a plus.

• Candidate must have demonstrated understanding of marketing and communication functions in a professional business setting.

• Ability to raise money for the BFF through donations and contributions and grant writing.

• Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demanding initiatives concurrently, balancing multiple priorities, working with minimal supervision, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment is required.

• Excellent writing and communications skills, including via phone, in-person, and email.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Knowledge and experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

• Project management and stakeholder management experience a plus.

• Willingness to stay abreast industry trends and technology is a plus.

• Requires 3-5 years with demonstrated successful track record in a similar position.

 

WORKING  CONDITIONS

• Full-time, Salaried, Exempt position

• Minimum 40 hours per week

• Required attendance at evening meetings and events

• Limited local travel is required

• May be required to lift boxes up to 20 lbs.

 

COMPENSATION

Annual Salary Range $60,000 – $70,000

Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance and HSA plan, 401k retirement plan with employer match, paid vacation and 8 paid holidays per year.
