Job Overview:

The Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Senior Director of Events and Development while also contributing to the successful execution of the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Clark County’s various programs, including the Building Futures Foundation, Build Better, and other initiatives. This dual-focused role involves assisting with event planning, member engagement, and development efforts, while also managing and coordinating activities related to BIA programs aimed at workforce development, community outreach, and industry advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

Support for Senior Director of Events and Development:

Event Planning and Coordination:
– Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of BIA events, including fundraising galas, member engagement events, home shows, and industry-specific meetings.
– Assist with event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, guest lists, registrations, and on-site event support.
– Collaborate with the Senior Director of Events and Development to execute key event strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
– Assist with post-event follow-ups, including thank-you notes to attendees, sponsors, and volunteers, and gather feedback to improve future events.

Donor and Sponsor Engagement:
– Provide administrative support in managing member and sponsor relationships, including preparing materials, tracking contributions, and assisting with stewardship activities.
– Help organize meetings with key stakeholders, members, and sponsors to strengthen relationships and ensure engagement with BIA’s mission and events.
– Support the Senior Director in preparing materials for fundraising campaigns, sponsorship opportunities, and donor communications.

Event Promotion and Marketing Support:
– Assist with the creation and distribution of promotional materials (emails, flyers, social media posts, etc.) for events and fundraising activities.
– Collaborate with the Communication Manager to maintain and update event details and registration information on the BIA website and other event platforms.
– Support marketing efforts to enhance event visibility and attendee engagement.

Support for BIA Programs:

Building Futures Foundation:
– Assist in the coordination of the Building Futures Foundation’s workforce development and scholarship programs, including helping with applications, scholarship distribution, and outreach.
– Support events and initiatives related to the Foundation, including industry tours, career fairs, and mentorship programs.
– Help with tracking and reporting program impact, ensuring accurate records of program participants and work with volunteer committee on fundraising events for BFF.

Build Better, PWB, and Other Programs:
– Assist with organizing and promoting BIA’s programs, which focuses on education, advocacy, and outreach efforts related to the building industry.
– Coordinate communication with members, potential partners, and local stakeholders about BIA activities, campaigns, and educational workshops.
– Help ensure that the initiative aligns with BIA’s broader goals and the needs of the local building industry.

Program Communications and Outreach:
– Develop and distribute materials related to BIA programs, including newsletters, flyers, and online content.
– Work with the BIA communications team to raise awareness of the association’s programs and engage with both the industry and the public.
– Support outreach efforts to schools, trade organizations, and community groups to promote workforce development and industry engagement.

Program Evaluation and Reporting:
– Assist in monitoring and evaluating the impact of BIA programs, including gathering data on program effectiveness and participant feedback.
– Prepare reports and presentations on program outcomes to share with stakeholders, including the BIA Board of Directors, members and sponsors.
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIA programs by providing insights and recommendations based on program data and feedback.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in event planning, program coordination, or nonprofit engagement. Experience in the building industry or with trade associations is a plus.

Skills:
– Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in creating promotional materials and outreach content.
– Experience using event management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
– Ability to work collaboratively with team members, donors, sponsors, and program participants.
– Proficiency in social media management, email marketing, and digital communication tools.
