BIA President Awards Bestowed

Vancouver, Wash – (November 22, 2016) – BIA President Tracy Doriot recognized a number of BIA members and local politicians with President’s Awards on November 17 at the Heathman Lodge during the BIA’s final dinner meeting of 2016. These individuals and businesses were recognized for their service to the organization and the building industry this year.

• Builder of the Year – Cascade West Development
• Industry Advocate of the Year – Marc Boldt, Board of County Councilors
• Industry Advocate of the Year – Julie Olson, Board of County Councilors
• Industry Advocate of the Year – Jeanne Stewart, Board of County Councilors
• Volunteer of the Year – Brianne Johnson, DeWils
• Volunteer of the Year – Eric Golemo, SGA Engineering & Design
• Associate Member of the Year – HomeStreet Bank
• Supplier Member of the Year – Contract Furnishings Mart
• Subcontractor Member of the Year – DeWils Industries
• Remodeler of the Year – A.C.T. Builders, LLC
• Outstanding Service Award – Ott Gaither, Gaither Homes
• Outstanding Service Award – Jack Harroun, Jack Harroun Construction

In addition, BIA President Tracy Doriot was also honored with an Exceptional Leadership Award presented by BIA Executive Director Avaly Scarpelli. Tracy was President in 2010 during a challenging time for the industry and led the organization again this year during a time of robust recovery. During both his terms as President, Mr. Doriot has been a warm and welcoming face for new members, champion of the on-going government affairs efforts and a vocal advocate for the value BIA provides the construction industry.

Before the honorees were recognized, Dave Main, 2016 President of Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW), officiated over the installation of the BIA’s officers for 2017.
