Building Industry Association installs Alexa Lee as 2025 President
BIA announces new Slate of Officers Presidents Awards, and Hall of Fame inductees
VANCOUVER, Wash., November 26, 2024 – The Building Industry Association installed Alexa Lee of GRO as the association’s 2025 Board President. Lee is celebrated as second female president in the history of the association.
In addition to Lee’s role, the BIA’s 2025 officers were formally installed by Greg Lane, Executive Vice President of the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW). Tracy Doriot was installed as Vice President, Dave Campos as Vice President Treasurer, Mark Kroll as Vice President Associate, and Chuck Neibert as Immediate Past President.
During the installation ceremony, the first class Hall of Fame inductees were honored. Matthew Clarkson, owner of Soaring Eagle Homes, was the first to be recognized, followed by Tracy Doriot, owner of Doriot Construction. Both men have demonstrated their strong commitment to the building industry through their leadership and advocacy.
In addition to the installation and Hall of Fame honors, the evening recognized excellence across the industry with the annual President’s Awards. The Extraordinaire Service award was presented to Greg Lane, while Alexa Lee received the Alpha Performer award. The Presidential Support award went to Sarah Neibert. Jason Pacheco of Cascade Wire Works was named Associate of the Year, and Trade Partner of the Year honors were awarded to Cody Walton of Walton Masonry and Brandon Muhonen of EM3 Concrete. Engineer of the Year was awarded to Corina Muntean and Anne Anderson of Green Mountain Structural Engineering. The Subcontractor of the Year award went to Metro Renovations, while Supplier of the Year honors were shared by Lakeside Lumber and Standard TV & Appliance. The Industry Advocate award was presented to Eric Golemo of SGA Engineering. The Volunteers of the Year award was given to Deanna Haake and Jaima Johnson of Dirt Divas – Chicago Fidelity/National Title. Developer of the Year went to METT RI LLC, and the Remodeler of the Year award was given to Akula Group. Builder of the Year was awarded to Urban NW Homes, and the Outstanding Leadership Award was presented to Chuck Neibert. These awards celebrate companies and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding craftsmanship, dedication, and vision in their work, reinforcing the industry’s strength and future.
