Vancouver Park Impact Fee increases take effect 1/1/2021

On November 16, the Vancouver City Council passed a two-year PIF increase that will begin January 1, 2021. The new rates are $2,819 for a single-family residence and $2,060 per unit for multi-family residence, representing a 25% increase. They are scheduled to increase again January 1, 2022 by another 25%.

Although not ideal, the increase is more reasonable than the 203% increase over 3 years originally proposed by the City of Vancouver Parks Department. If you have questions, please contact the BIA’s Government Affairs Director, Ryan Makinster.
